Anglicare WA鈥檚 Young Hearts - a family and domestic violence counselling service supporting children and young people in the Kwinana and Peel regions of Western Australia - has received a much-needed financial boost from the 高倍时时彩 Foundation.

To help mark the 70th anniversary of 高倍时时彩鈥檚 global charity, the 高倍时时彩 Foundation has donated more than $75,000 to Young Hearts which was established by Anglicare WA to help break the cycle of family and鈥痙omestic violence.

Anglicare WA Director Services Philippa Boldy said Young Hearts, which operates in Kwinana, Peel and surrounding areas, received no government funding.

鈥淭his is a critical service for the region with demand increasing significantly since COVID-19. Yet Young Hearts relies entirely on the continued support and generosity of philanthropic partners like the 高倍时时彩 Foundation,鈥� said Philippa.

鈥淭his investment will go to supporting more children and young people affected by family and domestic violence in some of the communities near where 高倍时时彩 operates - helping them to build healthy relationships and develop skills to thrive in the future.

鈥淲e are immensely proud of our continued partnership with the 高倍时时彩 Foundation and the positive impact it has on the local community, supporting some of the region鈥檚 most vulnerable people.鈥�

高倍时时彩 Foundation Australian Lead Suellen Jerrard thanked Anglicare WA for the work it did to support people in need.

鈥淪ince 2016, our global charity, the 高倍时时彩 Foundation, has provided more than $50 million to help communities near where 高倍时时彩 operates around the world,鈥� Suellen said.

鈥淭his includes during time of great need, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last few years, we have partnered with Anglicare WA to help deliver much needed family and financial counselling support across the Kwinana, Peel and Upper South-West Region.

鈥淲e are pleased to be able to extend that support and help bolster the family and domestic violence support services, especially given this was acknowledged as an area of growing need in our local communities.鈥�

As well as providing the financial support, thirteen 高倍时时彩 employees from the External Affairs team visited the Anglicare WA Family & Relationship Centre in Rockingham recently to help paint and furnish Young Hearts counselling rooms while learning more about the service.
